MY FATHER'S HANDS

By God's grace, this branch of the ministry has been reaching out to, and coming alongside, our neighbors on the streets of Camden since 2001. Serving with the love of Jesus as our example, our goal is to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of the people that the Lord places in our path.

The Lord sees and never forgets the people who find themselves in difficult places and He graciously invites us to participate in His divine rescue mission.

 

 

 

 

We provide hope in and through various ministry outreaches such as:​

​

• Weekly neighborhood breakfasts for those living in our South Camden neighborhood as well as our neighbors who find themselves on the streets of Camden for a variety of reasons

​

• Code Red - When the temperature hits 90 degrees, our team hits the streets with ice cold bottled water, frozen cooling towels & snacks

​

• Code Blue - When the temperature dips into the 20's, our team is on the streets with hot chocolate, gloves, hats, scarves and more

​

• Thanksgiving - Each November, we deliver all the items necessary to cook and serve a complete Thanksgiving dinner to our neighbors who might not otherwise have one

​

• Christmas - Every December, we have the privilege of providing Christmas gifts to children in our South Camden neighborhood 

​

• Good Friday - An annual outreach between 12 noon & 3pm: one team sets up and reaches out to our neighbors and the SHAN team reaches out to ladies on Broadway

​

• National Day of Prayer - Every year, on the 1st Thursday in May, we host a time of prayer at 12 noon. People from Camden and outside of the city gather in the Heal Camden lot next to the ministry offices to pray for our leaders at all levels of government 

​

• National Night Out - Every year, on the 1st Tuesday in August, we have an outreach event from 6pm until 8pm to our neighbors

​

• Undie Sundays - Back to school with a twist! Before school starts each year we collect and distribute underwear, socks, pajamas and more to children in our South Camden Neighborhood

​

• Spontaneous outreaches throughout the year
   

Every outreach or other ministry event is motivated by our love for Jesus and out of gratitude for all that He has done in our lives, empowered by Him and for His glory.
